Copy Cat

Recently I've come across a friend of mine with a unique way of ordering from restaurants. I met this person after about a month here at UNC, and just took notice of her interesting habit. She orders what the person in front of her orders wherever she goes. She of course doesn't order things she just doesn't outright hate, she also would not order something she is allergic to.

This method seems radical and a little crazy at first, but after further thought it makes a lot of sense. She gets to try new things daily. She doesn't get bored with restaurants she knows she likes. She gets to learn what she does and doesn't like. Finally, it just seems fun!!

So far I've done this now a few times, but mostly I forget to do it... I am; however, going to try to remember to copy people more often! Try it out and comment!

  2. Wow, interesting. Would be pretty funny though if the guy in front of me ordered an oversized plate of meat... I guess that's why you should check and see what they ordered before you copy them.

  3. I might have to try this like your recommending, but it depends what kind of restaurant I'm at...Like there is no way I would follow one of my friends orders at a place where there are lots of spicy foods because I'm not the biggest fan of such. Though you would get to try new things and might find something you like so I'll definitely give it a try.

  4. haha this is pretty funny and I would think that it is dumb, but like you said it does make sense. Now, I might actually try that. The people at UNC can amaze you in so many ways.

  5. I have never heard of people doing that before but that is awesome! I've already told my friends sitting beside of me! I really want to try it out. It will be fun going to a restaurant and having no idea what I'm going to order. Eating out will be more fun than it already is!

  6. Haha I've never heard of anyone doing something like this. This sounds really interesting and looks like a lot of fun. I might have to try it sometime. However, I don't know how often I would be able to do something like this since I tend to be a pretty picky eater and as much as I try to taste new foods, I'll most of the time somehow just end up getting the same thing. But, hey it's college, where else am I going to be able to experiment like this.
